Montevideo, 9 May 2017 – Representatives from Estudio Lussich Torrendell & Asoc. will be attending the Alliott Group 2017 EMEA Regional Conference in Berlin this week (10-13 May). The conference is focused on the latest developments and trends in global business, with accountant and lawyer member delegates learning how to become more effective firm in meeting the needs of clients with multi-market business interests. Approximately 100 leading professional advisers from 54 independent firms in 27 countries are expected to attend.

Hosted by Alliott Group, one of the world’s leading international associations of independent accounting and law firms in which Estudio Lussich Torrendell & Asoc. is the representative member in Montevideo, the conference takes place over four days and will enable attendees to listen to and learn from a range of speakers on business, technical, marketing and firm improvement topics that will help their firms and their clients to be smarter and more strategic in the way they do business, particularly when business crosses geographic borders.

Keynote speakers including David Weissert, Head of the Economic Policy Unit at the Berlin City Government, who will give insights into the Berlin economy and Germany's place in the European Union, and the potential consequences of the upcoming German elections in September and Britain’s looming exit from the EU.

Other speakers include: Chris Towner (HiFX) talking about how corporates with foreign exchange risk can protect their business from adverse market moves; Richard Allen (Burcher Jennings) explaining how professional firms can price for value from their clients’ perspective and remain profitable; and Melissa Davis (MD Communications) and David Gilroy (Conscious Solutions) speaking about how firms can build a brand and improve business development using their online presence. The Managing Partners Meeting will be facilitated by Eddie Ross of Paterson Consulting.

A separate business conference “New Markets 2017:TECH/DIGITAL” takes place on the morning of 11th May, and brings early/growth stage tech startups interested in how to scale up their businesses through the international marketplace into direct contact with Alliott Group’s expert tax, accounting and legal advisors to the tech/digital sector. Keynote speaker Nikita Fahrenholz, CEO of Book A Tiger, will explain how he and the two other co-founders built the hugely successful online food delivery service Delivery Hero / Lieferheld into an international platform that connects to 200,000+ restaurants in over 30 markets. He will also share his experiences of building Book A Tiger and his vision to disrupt the facility management sector globally using a technology platform.

Representatives from Estudio Lussich Torrendell & Asoc. will also attend meetings of the alliance’s International Tax, Corporate Finance and M&A, and Global Mobility groups which will host international roundtable discussions on topics including: How foreign companies can avoid creating a permanent establishment problem in different jurisdictions, and the changing rules and challenges affecting short-term business travellers and cross-border commuters.
